Description:

The Qingjiang ctenophora is tentaculate and spherical, with an oral-aboral axis. The diameter of the main spherical body is about 5mm, 14 vertical comb rows radially placed on the body surface, tens of comb plates arranged on the comb rows and the width of them are about 0.25mm, the comb plates are made up of cilia that could be used as swimming organ by flapping the comb plates. Two tentacles stretching out from the inner body, with about 40 cilia isometrically lined on, the length of the tentacles is about 15mm and the length of the cilia is 0.8mm. which are used for predation. From the mouth to the inside of the body there is a bowling ball-shaped digestive cavity, closed at the top, with a diameter of 1.5 mm at its widest point and gradually narrowing towards the sides, with tentacles extending from the longitudinal half of the digestive cavity and connected to two tentacles on the outside of the body.
