描述:
楔形古虫由前体和后体组成，二者连接处变窄收缩。前体近方形，表面光滑，或具有微弱环纹。前体前端变尖，延伸成四片背腹唇片，腹侧唇片通常更为突出，侧视呈v形张开。前体背边缘后端有三角形突起，后边缘下部也可能存在突起。后体分为七个体节。

Description:
Vetulicola cuneatus have a bipartite body with the anterior and posterior portions connected by a narrow constriction. Anterior body subquadrate to elongate in lateral view; surface mostly smooth, sometimes with faint annulations. Anterior body elongate with anterior termination tapered, extending into a dorsal and ventral lip-like projection on each side, the ventral pair normally projecting the further, surrounding an opening that is V-shaped in lateral view. Dorsal margin of anterior body with a triangular projection at posterior corner, lower posterior margin may bear additional projections. Posterior body with seven segments.
